As I’ve mentioned before Auston is in love with Brussel Sprouts! He loves them with bacon…actually, he probably thinks that they just go together as we always pair them up! It is a heavenly combination!
This isÂ defiantlyÂ a winter staple in our family and I hope you all enjoy it too!
Brussel Sprouts with Bacon
1 pkg. bacon (be sure to get it without preservatives or sugar), frozen (8oz is fine too!)
1-2 lbs brussel sprouts
salt and pepper to taste
Using kitchen sheers cut bacon into 1/2 inch pieces into a large skillet on medium high heat. Cook bacon until mostly done. While bacon is cooking wash brussel sprouts and cut in half (or 1/4 Â if it is a large brussel sprout). Add brussel sprouts to bacon and cover. Cook forÂ approximatelyÂ 10 minutes or until desired tenderness is reached. Season to taste.
To save a bit on this recipe, you could always just use the Â bacon grease (and save the bacon for another meal!) or butter!
