I believe in eating food that was grown on farms and did not have to be engineered in a science laboratory. Food without a package is the best kind of food. If you can grow it yourself or buy it straight from someone else who grew it, it is food!
I stay away from processed ingredients like:
- High Fructose Corn Syrup
- Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein
- Soy Protein Isolate
- Modified Food Starch
- Xanthan Gum
- Citric Acid
I believe that there are major flaws in the current food system, and that the idea that you can eat “everything in moderation” and be healthy is a lie. I believe that modern foods contain too many Sugar, Soy and Chemically Processed ingredients. I believe that most of the food in the typical American grocery store is not really food at all.
I believe that whole foods are always better than supplements, but that supplements may sometimes be useful in helping someone achieve optimal health after years of abusing their body.
I believe that grains are damaging the health of many people. I believe that consuming grains can deplete your iron. I believe that a bowl of unsoaked oatmeal is one of the worst breakfasts a person can consume. In my opinion, nobody *needs* grains.
I believe that a gluten free diet is not enough to heal someone who is ill.
I believe that meat from the grocery store is not healthy and potentially unsafe.
I believe that soy is another major cause of disease.
I have not always been so nutritionally savvy! Check out Our nutrition history to learn where we came from and how we got here!
Here are some posts about the kinds of foods that we eat:

I used to send out Weekly Meal Plans and they are still available for purchase, have created a Holiday Cookbook, a Thanksgiving Leftovers Book, and you can also find several of my recipes on this site.
